In 2024 VOGO will be offering both its Academy and Youth League to athletes between 13-18. We always recommend the Academy for both new and returning athletes as a way to learn or get back up to speed with beach volleyball. This summer is unique as the Sask Summer Games is happening for 15U athletes and they will be looking for beach volleyball players to tryout across the province. Academy and League can be a great way to tune your team up before the games happening in July. No matter if your goal is to make the summer games team or you want to try beach volleyball for the first time Academy is a great place to start.
The Youth League will be running a Spring only season (5 weeks) and a Spring and Summer season (12 weeks) this year. The Youth League is where you can apply the skills taught in Academy in a real game. Spring only is perfect if you can’t commit to the whole Summer. If you live for the sun and sand then signing up for the whole spring and summer is a no brainer. Don’t worry if you can’t make it every week as we allow you to sub a friend in for you if you can’t make it one week at no cost. We do our best to create similar skill groups for play and will adjust groups as needed when it allows through the season to ensure balanced competition for all.
Academy is making its return to Saskatoon this summer while the Youth League will build on its success from last year. Regina will have both Academy and Youth League again this summer. We are excited to have both Academy and League in both of our major centres. Please see the section below for the days each program will be.
We will not be running any programs in Swift Current this summer as the JR Sundogs program will be running their own beach program there. We wish them and any athletes that have trained with VOGO the last 5 years nothing but the best as they look to continue to grow the sport of beach volleyball.

VOGO invites volleyball athletes age 13-18 with all levels of ability to train with our high performance coaches. Practices are 1.5 hours of training and controlled competition with top coaches teaching game concepts, technique, and strategy. Training groups of 4-8 athletes per court are created to match athletes of similar experience, skill, competitiveness level, age, and gender. Athlete availability is collected during registration and schedules are created before the start of the season with athlete’s availability in mind.
